Welcome to Beautiful Huron County

My very first blog post ever... this will be an interesting experience!

The premiss for this blog is to document how gorgeous Huron County is and how full of beautiful photographs it can be. I got the idea while out on a photo drive with my dad - I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if I could put my lifelong love of Huron County and my newfound love of photography together?" I decided a blog would be best so that I could share these beautiful places with people who already know how great this area is and with people who have yet to discover it. Hope you enjoy!

For those of you who don't know, Huron County is a small, rural area of Southwestern Ontario, located along Lake Huron. The largest town is Goderich (Canada's Prettiest Town). The HC is widely known for its agriculture as well as it's beautiful beaches, of which the latter will be focused on today.

Goderich Main Beach

Sunsets, walks along the boardwalk, jumping off the pier.... all of these scream summer in Huron County. Although these photos were taken in May and it was ridiculously cold and windy, I think they still capture the beauty of Lake Huron.

The boardwalk is one of the shining features of the Goderich beaches and spans 1.5 km, joining all three beaches (Main, St. Christopher's and Rotary Cove).

There are also playground areas, washrooms and food stand areas at all three beaches, making an ideal location for visitors and locals to come and relax.

More pictures of this beach and others in the area will be featured as the summer. For more info about them, visit the town of Goderich website www.goderich.ca or www.ontarioswestcoast.ca
